JETMAN soars high above Auckland

Today I was fortunate enough to be invited to capture behind the scenes action of the preparation for Swiss 'JETMAN' Yves Rossy's stunt flight at the NZ International Airshow at North Shore Airport. I was shooting primarily for Pacific Wings Magazine.

It was an honour to be introduced to and be in the same room as such an inspirational aviator. I also met Kiwi Redbull Skydiver Chuck Berry. It was a great brand new format for an airshow, with live video cameras onboard aircraft and skydivers being broadcast on huge TV screens for all to get in on the action. There were various stunts being performed along with a weekend long Air Race series. It is a great event. I hope it is back next year or the year after.

Drive East....Keep Going.....Almost There

We have just returned from Gisborne for the Wedding of Max and Belinda Behle. It was my first time visiting the city and boy, it's a long drive. In total I clocked up 14hrs driving and 12hrs photographing but it couldn't have been a better weekend. I met Belinda back in 2003 where we were members of the New Zealand Secondary Students Choir and toured USA and Canada. Then in 2008-2010 we were in the NZ Youth Choir and toured Asia and Australia. I was so pleased when she asked me to do here photos and travel to her hometown. It was a fantastic day, and we spent some time in the Botanic Gardens and at the home where she grew up. This location was my favourite, with the stunning view of the main valley below and the house and surrounding gardens themselves. See for yourself. Don't the two of them look just so in love.
